On November 5-6, 2023, the kick-off meeting of the HumAIne project brought together seventeen esteemed partners from twelve countries, including Italy, Israel, Greece, Slovenia, Denmark, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Spain, Belgium, Cyprus, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. Held in Milan, Italy, this milestone event marked the official commencement of the HumAIne project, funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe program, with a planned lifecycle of thirty-six months.

The consortium engaged in extensive discussions during the kick-off meeting, deliberating on the project’s procedures and strategies for its implementation period. The primary focus was on outlining the comprehensive work plan for the upcoming months, setting the stage for HumAIne’s ambitious objectives.

About the HumAIne Project:

HumAIne is a pioneering initiative dedicated to researching, developing, validating, and promoting a revolutionary Operating System (OS) for Human-AI collaboration. The project aims to empower AI solution integrators by creating a platform that facilitates advanced decision-making applications in dynamic and unstructured environments across various industrial sectors.

The HumAIne OS, the cornerstone of this collaborative effort, will seamlessly integrate four interwoven components: Active Learning (AL), Neuro-Symbolic Learning, Swarm Learning (SL), and eXplainable AI (XAI) capabilities. By surpassing traditional AI systems and human capabilities in isolation, the HumAIne OS has the potential to revolutionize decision-making processes.

In addition to its innovative platform, HumAIne will provide complementary resources, such as training, and build a vibrant community of interested parties to drive the exploitation and wider use of the project’s results.

As HumAIne embarks on this transformative journey, it seeks to redefine the landscape of Human-AI collaboration, promising advancements that will shape the future of decision-making applications across diverse industries.
